* COMPETITION NOW CLOSED *
Tots100 and Center Parcs are running an Autumn Challenge for bloggers to write their own poem based on the changing of the seasons into Autumn.
Details of the competition can be found here along with Emma's top tips on writing your poem. My favourite tip is "Read your children's favourite short story or poems about nature to get them excited about writing their own".
I think us as adults forget very quickly how fun children's books are until we read them again with our own children.
So here's my poem for the competition :
And just in case the images don't show :
Little bit fresh when stepping out
Knowing that Jack has been about
Frost is glistening on the grass
Daring the sun that he may last
A light frost the Sun will allow
Leaves fall as the trees bow
Marking respect to the beautiful Sun
Summer is over time for Autumn fun
The blackberries awake ready to spread
The Tortoises are fed and off to bed
Conkers shine ready for the assault
The beauty of Autumn you can not fault
This is my entry to the Center Parcs and Tots 100 November challenge.
If I'm chosen, I would like to visit Longleat Forest Village
