What's in your handbag?

MoneySupermarket is running a competition to win £1,000 luxury handbag prize.  All they ask it you describe what's in your handbag!

So, I removed the 58 pieces of paper, receipts and rubbish from my bag and was left with this....

what's in my handbag

So what have we got?

- The bag itself is a birthday present and is the Gorjuss fair lights range £38

- My tiny umbrella from boots I have no idea of price and the usual tissues, food, sweetener... and bottle opener are up in the top left corner.

- Gorjuss accessories bag (£10) is holding all my make-up which is £priceless and sitting on top of my chequebook - yes, they do still exist!

-  Samsung Galaxy II worth approx £280 (now) is above my fabulous card holder I got off eBay £6 and under that is Max's calgel!

- Various pens, one of which usually belongs to Gorjuss jotter pad worth £7 and obviously if my pens run out I've always got the blue crayon!

- My work ID badge is on the end along with my dentist appointment - the only bit of paper now (well for today anyway, let's not get over-excited) only piece now in my bag.

- All important headache tablets and various hair accessories are either side of my lovely Iron Fist purse £27.

A couple of bits are actually missing from my 'day' bag and that's my jotter pad and my camera - obviously, I was using my camera to take this picture.

I do, like most women have several other bags, one for going out and one for the weekend but I picked my daily one - which let's face it - is the one that holds most of my car.... stuff!

First Car Stories

first car stories
(Time before digital cameras)

MoneySupermarket is running a First Car Campaign where they would like bloggers and website owners to write about their first car experiences.  Everyone who shares their experiences will be set a diecast model of their first car.

So let me take you back to the summer of 1991!!  (Actually, I'm not entirely sure it was summer, but it sounds good!). Me and two girlfriends of mine (one is in the photo above) had booked tickets to see EMF (our latest band crush!) in their hometown of Glocester.  We booked B&B for the weekend with one little obstacle to overcome - I had to pass my driving test!!  So 2 weeks before our first ever road trip I passed my test and went out and bought a Mini Metro - SPORT (no less).

It cost me £600 and I bought it from a local garage in town.  I loved it.  It was white, had a rev counter and go faster stripes (OK I added the stripes from Halfords, quite possibly my favourite shop of that era).  I only seem to have a couple of part pictures of my car.

A couple of things we noticed on the way to Gloucester - the car was very quiet.  So quite that we didn't realise we'd left the engine running when filling up!!  The petrol gauge never worked, it was hit and miss as to how much petrol was ever in the tank and it was rather easy to change a tyre!  It had pug filled marked all over the body and mismatched colours - but you know what, I didn't care!  At 19, this was my ticket to freedom.

My Austin mini Metro SPORT was my 'girl racer' car.  A 1.3 no less and I drove this car around town where we met fellow 'racers' - I'm not talking fast and furious here people!  I'm talking like-minded youngsters PARKING UP chatting until we saw the milk floats go past - where the racer part comes in is beyond me.  One fellow 'racer' informed me that all my pug filled marks on my car were actually bits of sandwich and anything else that could be found laying around.  I was quite shocked at this and when I asked him how he knew he responded with 'I filled it'!  Small world.

I loved that car - I think I mentioned that before, I also love the boy racer who filled it and now we have a 20-month-old son 18 years later when we met up again - like I said, Small World.

The only pictures I seem to have of my first car - the inside - and the father to my son some 18 years later;)

#Juno #BBloggers #FBloggers - How fabulous is this bag!

Craft: My latest Decoupage Craft project - What was I thinking!!

#Craft #Decoupage Project

So I thought I'd try something a little bit different to my Comic Letters and when I saw this picture frame at the car boot sale I snapped it up for 50p.

What was I thinking!

OK, let's just have another look at this lovely little picture frame shall we.  See that heart shape - that means CURVES!  I had a little fit when I did the Hulk on an S.  Did I learn from that? Obviously not!

Oh and that lovely little fancy bow at the top... yeah that was the reason why this little picture frame took me all week (and then some) to do!  Just the thought of the fiddly bit up top was putting me off.

BUT, I persevered with it and choosing Demin Decopatch paper I transformed it to this.

So what do you think?

Review: Sure Women Maximum Protection

+BzzAgent @Bzzagent #Sure @bzzagentjono

I was recently chosen by BZZAgent to review Sure's Maximum Protection for women and have been using Sure for over a week and with this hot weather it has been put to the full test.

The positives from this product I found are:

- Long lasting.  I love that I can put it on in the morning and not worry about perspiring for the rest of the day!  I don't find myself doubting that I put any deodorant on in the first place!

- It has a pleasant aroma

- It's compact in size

- It lasts all day - yes I've already said this but it does need saying twice, especially in this heat.

The only negative I can find with this product is the applicator itself.  I'm not a big fan of twisting sticks and have it filter through holes but that's just my own preference.

Next week I will be giving my deodorant the ultimate test as I return back to the gym!

I am a BzzAgent and was sent this product to review and report back to BzzAgent my findings and also let my friends and family know how I found the product.
