Review: Collage on Canvas

Review: Collage on Canvas

I do love having my photos printed out and put in frames or on canvas prints.  We  have several canvas prints already so I was delighted to review Red Canvas's Order Process and Print.

The following statement is taken directly from Red Canvas Ltd website:

Red Canvas LTD is the UK's only design & print studio dedicated to creating a visually stunning photo collage printed on award-winning canvas. Our customer focused approach means your collage is designed from scratch specifically to suit your tastes. We don't limit you to a set template, so anything is possible. Our customers love our canvas collages and we love nothing more than making them. The Photo Collage Canvas is the most personal and perfect gift you can give to anyone and the best way to celebrate your favourite memories on one canvas.

What I can confirm from the above is the Customer focused approach.  Here is my experience with Red Canvas:
Review: Collage on Canvas
Once you place your order you will be sent instructions to upload your images.  Now the good thing about Red Canvas is they will accept images downloaded from your facebook album or others who have tagged you (but make sure you ask permission from the owners before using them).  Other sites I've used for calendars have never liked the facebook downloads and usually state 'poor resolution'.  So I was rather pleased that I didn't need to pull up pictures from my partner's laptop I could just nab them off facebook.

Allow yourself a good hour (at least) to choose your 20-40 images!  If you have any old non-digital images these can be posted to Red Canvas who will scan them in for you - a very personal and great option!  As I'm as old as the dinosaurs now, I could quite easily have picked out 30 odd old images to use as a collage (I still may do that).

I would suggest creating a folder on your desktop and moving the images into it before using the transfer link Red Canvas Ltd send you so you have it all in one location and ready to go.

If at any time you have queries with regard to the size of your images or quality then do contact Rami he will respond quickly and help whenever needed - and that to me is invaluable - to get a human response and not an automated message!

Once your images are uploaded you will need to drop Rami a note with what you would like regarding design, such as whether you want your canvas straight or relaxed, white background, the text (if any) on the side and if you want colour, black and white or sepia.  You really are in control as to how your collage will look.

Once Red Canvas has all the necessary info your canvas is then created and a proof will be sent to you via email and this is the best part - YOU can choose to re-arrange any of the images.  Once you're happy with your proof your canvas will be printed and sent out.

I can not fault Red Canvas for communication, updates and quality of the canvas, which was completed far quicker than I expected.

So here are the images I chose for our straight, colour Canvas that is so sharp and clear.  The picture doesn't do the canvas justice and it's already up on the wall.  We are very impressed with Red Canvas Ltd.

I was sent this canvas for review purposes.
