When I was asked by Kiss Me Organics if I would like to try their new Culinary Grade Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder, I thought how great the timing was for this as The Huffington Post has recently written an article on the 15 foods to add to your diet and Matcha Green Tea is number 1!!
Kiss Me Organics Matcha Tea is sold exclusively on Amazon for £18. It's 100% Organic, tested for purity and contains more than 137x the antioxidants found in a cup of brewed tea. All these claims can be found on the packaging. So for the past week I've been trying out Matcha Tea and I must say, this is not ceremonial tea, this is culinary tea and as such, you can "just add water" but that is a very acquired taste - and you may find it better used in cooking.
When you purchase this product you are supplied with a website to visit which will give you recipes to use with this Matcha Green Tea. There is also a wealth of options on Pinterest but what I've been using my Matcha for - is Porridge!
As I mentioned above, this is Culinary Grade Tea and when I mentioned that I would be trying this on social media, I received random tweets back with some suggestions. Oh, I do love twitter!
"@RachaelJessBlog Bake with it, put it on your porridge, put it on your yoghurt, maybe make ice cream with it if it's sweet enough...
— Neil Bennun (@NeilBennun) December 8, 2014"
So thanks to Neil Bennun I have been mixed this in my porridge each morning and it's rather nice! I wasn't convinced after tasting it with just hot water but it works! It's rather tasty! Now this does claim to give you all day energy and focus and I have to agree I have had a good week on this but it may be due to the Matcha, it may be due to my new weekly regime of ensuring I have breakfast before I leave the house or it may be my new de-clutter program I'm currently trying out OR (and more than likely) a combination of all 3.Armed with a variety of choices of what to do with Culinary Matcha Green Tea, you too can join in with the number 1 food to add to your diet in 2015 by entering my brand spanking new giveaway! All I need you to do is complete the giveaway widget below and a winner will be picked at random.
