Due to our funny old weather these days our local Fun Day got cancelled in summer due to poor weather and rescheduled for the end of September, and to be fair - they called it right! It was a lovely day for the local council to put on a Fun Day in the park and raise awareness and funds for various local charities.
One of the events on offer was rock climbing which my son wanted to go on! The fact that he is very tall for his age goes in his favour at events like this, but does sod all for my heart!
Adur Fun Day
He's 4 in a couple of weeks but well over the 0.9m measure that was in place for this climbing event that was easy 100 foot tall.... Yes it was, it was as big as the beanstalk in Jack's story....
Ok, so it was about 25/30 foot in reality, but as a mother - it went into the clouds.
Max reaching for the sky
Tied to a rope he climbed up the wall like his hero Spider-man (banning that in the house before he tries parkour at the age of 5....), and he loved it! I must admit I was very proud of him. He has no fear, but that's OK, I have enough for the whole family.
Wow that does look scary to me. Luckily for me, my boys have expressed no interest in climbing, although I wouldn't let son1 if he did ask, due to his implanted port by his ribs
bless him - he is WAY braver than i am! You'd never catch me up a climbing wall. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Rebecca, I can see me spending my entire life going 'ohh, ohhhh oh' on film lol
