The beautiful Minerva fabrics website has had a makeover and it looks fabulous! Designed now as more of a social media site for crafters, it really is a rather enjoyable place to hang out.
There are lots of creative artists on the site that you can follow, chat with and read up on what they've made. Here is my Minerva profile if you want to follow my journey in the sewing and crafting world.
To coincide with the new website is a brand new Minerva Challenge/Giveaway called #Bestof2020, which is running until the end of 2020.
It's all about celebrating your favourite makes of 2020 and focusing on the positives of this year! There are 10 x £100 gift cards up for grabs (that will be drawn at random at the beginning of next year).
You have until the end of the year and you can enter multiple times with different projects and each one will class as an entry (just be sure to use the hashtag #bestof2020 on each one). It does NOT have to be made in fabrics or products available on Minerva, everyone can enter!

#BESTOF2020 RULES TO ENTER;
1) To enter, simply share a photo of your favourite thing you have made in 2020 (this can be sewing or any other craft you enjoy).
2) Tell us about the project and why it's your favourite make. It could be your proudest achievement to date, your most worn make, you might have learnt a new skill or it might be something you gave as a gift to someone special - whatever means something special to you.
3) Type in the hashtag #bestof2020 to enter your project.
4) Enter by the end of the year (31st of December) to take part.

HOW TO SHARE A POST ON MINERVA
If you're unsure how to share a post on Minerva, the first thing you will need to do is create a free account (or simply login if you have one already). And then it's quick and easy to share a post on Minerva, just follow these three simple steps...
1) Go to the homepage and click the 'share post' button in the top right-hand corner. A pop-up box will appear, simply click 'choose file' to upload a photo (or multiple photos). Where it says 'what have you been making?', simply type in here a little write up telling us about your project and why it's your favourite make of 2020. Then type in the hashtag #bestof2020 to enter.
Click next.
2) The next page is where you can tag products should you wish. This is by no means a requirement to enter, but if you have used fabric or pattern that's available on Minerva and you do tag it here, your post will show on those fabric or pattern product pages so other members of the Minerva community can see it.
Click next.
3) On the last page simply click 'post' and your project will now go live on Minerva! See it in the explore view on the home page, on your personal profile page, on the pages of any products you tagged and you'll see it appear on the #bestof2020 hashtag page!
