The new GRRRRR! Book Review

GRRRRR! Review Book
When I showed Max we had a new book to review which had a story of a bear in it, he was straight over and sat next to me waiting for me to read it!!  Usually, he will nod, look the book over and then wait until bedtime to hear the story as he does love his routine, so for him to come and sit with me was a rather lovely surprise, and maybe a start of a new reading era.

The first thing I noticed was it was hardback with a beautiful dust cover.  As lovely as this is, for my 4 years old this was straight off and down the side of the sofa.
Off with the dust jacket
The story itself is about a couple of bears who compete for the Best Bear in the woods competition.  the story tells of how one bear is more interested in his trophies and winning than his friends and how the other bear thinks winning (by cheating) he will get friends.

The morals to the story are spot on and written in poem form (which I love).  This story went down very well with all of us.  Max interacted the whole way through the story and commented on the illustrations with which bear was his favourite.  The book currently lives downstairs where Max will often pick it up and 'read' it himself before asking either myself or daddy to read to him.

Harper Collins also have a great app for children to submit their best Bear roars to, and as a bonus, the best 10 GRRRRs will win a signed copy of the book.    The upload is an audio file only, and as I filmed Max giving me his best GRRRRR! I just used an online converter to convert the file from MP4 to MP3 and it worked a charm.

Once you've uploaded your little one's Grrrr, don't forget to download the certificate.  Max is going to rather chuffed with his when I show him.

Really lovely book, and one that will be read many many times I feel.
