Celebrating Halloween with decorations, crafting and costumes

Halloween Decorations

This year it has been considerably noticeable the number of shops that have stocked Halloween decorations and I have to admit, it was back in September that I bought my lovely little blocks from TK Maxx!

All the supermarkets were selling various decorations, costumes and sweets, but I also found some fab items in Poundland.  (The ghosts and pumpkins in the images above).

I may have picked up one or two pieces every time I popped out to the shops, and therefore I can't remember where I got this great little headstone from or my wonderful little ghost lights!!

Fortunately, I do a lot of my shopping online, so I'm not popping in the shops too often, but that does mean I end up finding great little online shops such as Circus Circus and Party Pieces instead.

Halloween Crafts

This year I have thoroughly enjoyed making our Halloween wreaths, and my son has loved making the lanterns.  We also made spell books, spiders and even had a crazy witch crash into the hedges....

Halloween Costumes

We are a family who like to dress up and last year I wanted to go to our friend's Halloween party as the Scooby Doo gang, but I never got myself organised in time, so this year, I was sourcing our costumes in September!

The boys were easy, both their costumes came from Halloween Costumes website, along with my socks!  My hair and glasses were sourced from eBay, skirt from Boohoo and my jumper from La Redoute.

I did find sourcing my items separately rather than buy an all in one outfit from a fancy dress shop worked better for me and were a more comfortable fit.
