Look In My Letterbox #6

What came through my door this week.

My parcels have been a bit all over the place since Christmas, mainly due to cutting back on spending and crafting and just having a break from everything really.  So, back in the new year and my first link up with Alice's LIML, I thought I'd start it slightly differently.

I received a couple of pieces to review, which will come along on their own posts in due course, and I also realised that yes at the end of January I still don't own a desk calendar for work - so I sourced a brilliant Dr Who one!

But what I wanted to mention today, was these fabulous black and white washi tapes I received, which you can pick up on eBay at rather great bargain prices.
quick and easy way to decorate candles

Now the reason for me buying these is due to my bargain finds in Asda last week!  I happened to pass the candle section when I noticed the small glass candles for £1 and the large pillar candles for £3 each or 2 for £5 and they smell beautiful.

I bought the candles in the sale and then went back a couple of days later as I wanted a couple for decoration (but I also wanted a couple to light)!   Once I got the candles home the large pillars looked a bit bare up on my mantlepiece - hence the washi tape purchase.

Now I must stress I have only decorated the candles I will not be lighting!  These are for decoration purposes only and if I ever decide to light them then the washi tape will be coming straight off.

I love how they turned out so I may have gone back to Asda whilst the sale is still on and bought a couple more pillar candles so I can have matching patterns either side of my flowers.

I think this washi tape makes the candles look so beautiful now, don't you?

  4. I hadn't heard of wash tape, but it looks very effective. I've just received a lovely candle subscription box to review from BoxOf Wax, so I'll be doing a candle and melts blog post later this month too
