I appear to have signed the family up to do a run!

Do you ever get one of those "seemed like a good idea at the time" moments only to reflect and think sh*t?!  Well, I signed my family up to the KAPOW run at Preston Park in Brighton on 14th July!

Did you catch that word in the second sentence?  Run!  RUN!!  I haven't competed in any form of running event since I was 12 years old!  I do not have the body of a runner!!

So why am I putting myself, Max and Garran through this?  Well here's a video of last year's race, it looks super fun does it not!

As well as this looking like bags of fun and local, it is a family event!  My son is going to love this and will have such a laugh (at my expense) at helping his Mumma run a gigantic foam filled challenge with 10 immense inflatables to bounce over, squeeze through, slip and slide around.

I'm so screwed

It's also for charity!

The charity running the event is called Martlets. It is a charity that cares for people living through a terminal illness in and around Brighton & Hove.  My entry fee only covers the costs of the event itself, but Martlets need much-needed funds to help care for people living with terminal illness.

If you would like to help us make this day amazing and be the superheroes that I know you all are, please pop over to our Just Giving page and show your support for this amazing cause.  No £ amount is too small.

My family has set a modest target of £100.  £100 will give a carer a respite visit, giving them a much-needed break from their care duties.  A very important rest you must all agree?

I'm off to go train now, so that involved kicking the kids out of soft play......

I'm screwed.
