Clear-Cut Signs that You Need to Change your Job- Right now

Do you feel as though it’s time for you to change jobs? Maybe you feel as though you dread Sunday evenings and you just want to be able to relax and enjoy your weekend without freaking out about deadlines or your boss. Either way, if those feelings are just getting too much for you then here are the top signs that you need to change jobs so that you can better your future overall.

Are you Learning?

Do you feel as though you are adding value to your organisation? What about fun? If you don’t feel as though you are hitting the mark on any of the above, then this could indicate that it’s time for you to make a change. It may be that you need to talk with your boss about investing in your career more or even that you enrol on a course from the USC. Either way, you have to know that only you can make a change and if you don’t do it soon then you may end up spending the rest of your life in the rut you’re in right now.

You Don’t Feel Valued

When you don’t feel as though your input is valued, your work may feel way less fulfilling. These are signs that it’s time for you to make a change. After all, you will probably spend over half of your life at work, so the last thing that you want is someone who doesn’t appreciate you for all of the hard work you put in. Sure, a lot of people worry that the grass isn’t always greener and that they aren’t really going to be able to find anywhere better than they are right now, but the only way you will ever know is if you take that leap.

Look at your ROI

When you start a particular job or even a career, you will have a curve which shows your contribution over a period of time. You really want the curve to trend up, so as you gain more experience, you contribute more and also get more in return. If you don’t feel as though this is the case with your current job or if you have lost passion for something you once loved, then this could mean that it is time to make a change.

Negative Feelings

If you often find yourself complaining or even feeling negative about work then this is another sign that something needs to change. You may feel as though you are being underpaid or even undervalued. If you do not resolve the issues you are feeling early-on, then this will impact your future and you may find that things just don’t change unless you force them to.

Is This It?

Sometimes when you get to midlife, you may find yourself wondering, is this all there is? You may feel as though there are so many negatives going on in your life that you just crave something more. If this is the case, then you have to do everything you can to really turn things around by taking control of your situation.
