Bring Sidney to your desktop with ClassBento Photography class

#Gifted
I have mentioned before that one of the few good things to come out of 2020 is the use of Zoom and virtual meetings to connect everyone, literally, from all around the world.

In December I was invited by ClassBento to attend the Sydney Harbour Bridge Photography Experience from the comfort of my own home; with my son sleeping upstairs and in PJs and drinking wine, I had no worries of how I was going to get home let alone airfare!

It was a great evening.   A small class of six students joined in with Alfonso to take / screenshot pictures of the Sidney Oprah House and Sidney Harbour Bridge and learn how to adjust the images taken using the software app Snapseed.

Alfonso went through why it is better to take the picture without zooming in on your mobile phone and why it is better to use an editing software app such as Snapseed.

The evening was viewed via the desktop with the mobiles being used for editing the images which we saved from the desktop via Alfonso's phone.  Pretty impressive stuff.

The course was an hour-long and I've come away with lots of hints and tips to use on my mobile and Snapseed, but best of all it was lovely to see Alfonso around the other side of the world showing us Sindey's landmarks whilst sharing his knowledge!

Who are ClassBento

ClassBento, Australia’s favourite place for artisan experiences, has now launched in the UK.  ClassBento connects thousands of students with local artisans and makers who teach fun workshops across the country.

Choose from hundreds of creative workshops and wellbeing activities including art, craft, cocktail and cooking experiences taught by the UK and Australia’s best local makers. ClassBento is on a social mission to improve the wellbeing of Britons one workshop at a time.

What course can I learn online?

ClassBento has more classes than I can mention from cocktail making to baking, from photography classes to wreath making to name a few.  A full listing can be found on their website along with reviews to help you make an unbias decision on whether this is the course for you.

The course prices range in price and depending on what you chose, will include course equipment sent to your home to enable you to complete the lesson effectively.

If you want to learn more about taking quality photos from your phone and using Australia's iconic landmarks to do this then Alfonso's course will cost £45 for a full hour of learning with a really friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable photographer who encourages engagement and questions.

Have you been on any online courses recently? I feel this is the new way of learning.

  1. Wow that sounds fun and different, although I think I'd rather get the opportunity to visit Sydney for real
